Admission is free. Costumes are encouraged. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Cash donations to the Castle Island Association are welcome. No donation is required for family photos.
The event is presented in cooperation with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR). All openings of Fort Independence depend on weather and safety conditions and are at the discretion of the Castle Island Association and DCR.
Choose your photo delivery
Free shared hourly galleries: Everyone can obtain their photos free. Today’s Sunday signup provides four shared hourly galleries. Weekend galleries are organized separately by day and actual photo hour. Shared-gallery participants may see other participating families’ photos.
Optional private gallery — $19.99: This fee covers administration of preparing a private gallery and one-on-one communication. No payment is due at signup; payment is due when your gallery access is delivered. If you choose private delivery, your family’s photos will not be placed in shared galleries.
This signup is for Sunday, October 25, 2026 only. Choose your photo hour: 12–1 p.m., 1–2 p.m., 2–3 p.m. or 3–4 p.m. This does not reserve an appointment or guarantee an individual time slot. If your actual photo hour changes, correct it using your Edit response link.
Photo file numbers are optional. Add the number(s) or range John gives you now, or save your unique Edit response link after submitting and use it to add them later. Reopening the blank form does not edit your original response.
We’ll share instructions for choosing your photos when the gallery is ready.
